Interest in and understanding of technology
Ability to work in a team, with minimal supervision
A good junior high diploma/GCSEs, or completed secondary education (A-levels/High School)
Ability to think logically
Constant readiness to learn and work hard
Excellent communication skills
Well organized and customer-oriented
Excellent German, good English skills, additional foreign languages are a plus
What other skills are required? What else is important to know?
Good marks/grades in the subjects of IT, mathematics, and German are desirable
Completed secondary education (A-levels/High School) or “Abitur” is not a requirement but a definite advantage
Apprenticeships usually start in September and take three years
The apprenticeship will take place on-site at our Karlsruhe offices as well as at the vocational school
For your final exam, you will need to develop and complete your own project, and present it to the IHK Chamber of Industry and Commerce
The final exam includes written tests and an oral exam
